A benevolent massage girl in Xiamen touches heart of China

Liu Li was praised as the ‘most beautiful massage girl’ in China for her kind deeds
 
Liu Li, a 31-year-old migrant worker in Xiamen who hails from central China’s Fujian province, has been working in a foot massager centre for more than 10 years. In 2002, she began to assist needy students with financial aid in her own name. 
 
In 2006, with the help of the Xiamen Municipal Women’s Federation and a local woman in Tong’an District, Liu Li contacted 40 needy students, who had later benefited from her charity and other people inspired by Liu Li’s deeds.   
 
Liu has set up 12 QQ groups on the internet, calling on more people to join in her charity. Liu said at first she was misunderstood by many people, some said she had taken away the money for her own use and some even came up with uneasy claims. But Liu Li never gave it up as she thought what she was doing was meaningful.  
 
With a monthly income of a mere 2,000 yuan ($ 293), Liu Li has supported more than 100 needy students for their studies in Xiamen and her hometown.
 
Her deeds were reported by many media including CCTV (China Central Television) and she has been known as the “most beautiful foot massage girl in China” for her good deeds and persistence in helping others.
