How to Prevent a Hangover but Still Drink
Are you a social drinker who keeps waking up with hangovers? There are ways to prevent hangovers and still drink socially.
1. Drink early in the evening. Do not wait until after 10:00 to start drinking. Have a drink around 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. The buzzed feeling you get will wear off before bed time preventing any type of hangover in the morning.
2. Eat food while you are drinking. Whether it is dinner or a light snack, eating while you drink alcohol will prevent a hangover because the food is absorbing it.
3. Drinking a half of glass of water in between drinks will help to prevent a hangover because the water is diluting the alcohol. Water will also keep you hydrated. It also will keep your body flushed of the alcohol because alcohol makes you urinate more often.
4. Drink slowly. Don't gulp down the drink quickly and make another one right away. Also if you have had hangovers, how many drinks did you have the night before? For example, if you had four drinks the night before and have a hangover, then the next time only have three. You will eventually figure out how many drinks you should have in order to prevent hangovers.
5. Don't mix different types of alcohols. Stick to the same drink for the evening. If you have beer first continue with another beer not another type of drink such as a long island tea.
