RNIB / City University Eye Clinic Support Studies Course
Summary: Information about a course for professionals to help patients cope with sight loss.
Description
This course is provided jointly by RNIB and City University, London. It is designed for eye clinic and related staff to equip them to address the emotional and practical needs of patients / clients following a diagnosis of sight loss.
It will help them acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to help patients / clients at this critical time to come to terms with their diagnosis and enable them to move forward.
Target audience
Professionals working with recently diagnosed blind and partially sighted people in eye clinics and the community, including nurses, voluntary agency staff, rehabilitation workers, social workers, community care workers.
